16-foot Avon Pro whitewater raft for sale

This raft makes a great paddle raft, with its somewhat squared-off back end.

As a paddle raft, it holds up to 7-8 passengers.

Here the raft is fully rigged for a 14-day trip down the Grand Canyon.

Avon rafts are made with tough, lightweight and fairly rigid material.
This raft is in good condition, with no patches in the pontoons.

The raft comes with a heavy duty slant-seat rowing frame, four oars,
and a wood deck that in suspended in front of the rowing frame
(an ice chest covered by lifejackets in on the deck in this photo).
A slant-seat rowing frame is very versatile because it accomodates rowers of all sizes.

This raft is not self-bailing, which means bailing out water in big rivers (as we did in the Grand Canyon)
but also means the boat is much lighter than similar sized self-bailing rafts.

This gear is located at my home near Fort Worth, Texas - a long way from any whitewater!
(which explains why I am selling it so cheaply)
